He Gang, CEO of Huawei's Terminal Business Group, recently shared an anecdote about his transition into the company's mobile phone division.1 According to his account, in late 2011, when he was overseeing global wireless sales, Yu Chengdong extended him an invitation via phone call to join the mobile business sector.1 He Gang accepted the offer and subsequently began his career in phone-related operations within Huawei's Terminal Business Group.1
He Gang joined Huawei in 1998 following his graduation with a master's degree from Xidian University's School of Electronic Engineering, having previously completed his undergraduate studies there in 1991.1 Today, he holds the position of CEO of Huawei's Terminal Business Group and also serves as director of the Terminal BG Sustainability Committee.1
