Huang used his own experience to illustrate his position, stating: "I really can't remember my own address... I can't remember my own phone number. I've forgotten all these things, but I'm completely fine with that." 1 He further elaborated that foundational mathematics is being progressively forgotten, but in his view, "this is not important. Rather than viewing this as a negative outcome, Huang characterized AI as a capability multiplier. 1 He contended that AI may cause people to lose "fine-grained cognitive flexibility," yet would make them stronger "systems thinkers" overall. 1
