Over the past year, a newly established archaeological research alliance has accelerated work at the site, releasing the excavation report covering 1995-1997 findings. 1 The most extensive archaeological survey conducted to date has uncovered nearly five thousand features of various types, including tombs and ash pits. 1 In addition to domestic research efforts, the institute has expanded international collaboration, having signed a scientific cooperation framework agreement with Russia's Far Eastern Division of the Academy of Sciences in July. 1 The Luliuhe International Field School has operated for three consecutive sessions, training more than a dozen international students. 1
