9月23日，深圳宝安区在湾区之眼举办新质影像产业沙龙首场活动，以"人人都是创作者——新质影像的全民表达时代"为主题12。此次沙龙汇集纪实摄影、影视创作、素材生产和智能影像等领域的行业嘉宾，通过智能影像产品体验、主题分享和深度交流，围绕技术如何拓展大众表达、内容传播和影像创作产业应用等议题展开探讨2。

宝安区已形成较为完整的影像产业生态。该区已集聚262家影像相关企业，其中设备制造类企业占比近95%1。宝安正通过赛事、沙龙等多种形式打通产品科技、内容创作与应用场景之间的链路1。在内容创作方面，一项作品征集截至9月5日已收到4279组、6946件投稿，来自国内19个省份及英国、俄罗斯等国家，200余所海内外高校参与其中1。

关于新质影像的本质，业内人士表示不取决于分辨率、焦段或渲染器的强弱，而在于创作者所观察和思考的内容1。
