Victoria's newly established royal commission investigating allegations of corruption and criminal activity within the state's massive infrastructure pipeline held its first public hearing, focusing on a A$150 billion program known as the Big Build.12 The inquiry, formally titled the Royal Commission into the Integrity of Public and Civil Construction, was launched in August and has already conducted private hearings before moving to public proceedings.2
