The bureau highlighted that during the holidays, tourist and family visit traffic will merge with significantly increased expressway volumes, creating hazardous conditions on major routes serving the Pearl River Delta, Yangtze River Delta, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and Chengdu-Chongqing metropolitan areas, where traffic is expected to surge in waves. 1 Drivers should be aware that certain regions will experience rain and ground fog, resulting in slippery road surfaces and reduced visibility. 1 The authority emphasized additional concerns including fatigue-related driving incidents, drunk and impaired driving risks, and concentrated rural migrant worker travel patterns. 1
