第八届中国·南和宠物产业博览会于9月20日举办，参展企业达302家，吸引了187家国际采购商和45家侨商参会1。当地宠物食品企业在国际市场上持续扩大业务，河北盛喜宠物食品有限公司今年8月向吉尔吉斯斯坦出口了28.2吨宠物食品1。此外，华兴宠物食品有限公司试验基地饲养了1300多只犬猫作为"试吃官"，参与产品研发测试1。
Nanhe District in Xingtai City, Hebei Province has successfully transformed itself into China's largest pet food and cat litter production hub through a shift from traditional animal feed manufacturing.1 The district now generates annual revenues of 20.5 billion yuan from its pet industry.1
The district's pivot toward pet products has expanded its market reach significantly. Nanhe's pet products are now exported to more than 50 countries and regions,1 supported by a local pet industry ecosystem comprising 938 registered business entities.1 The transformation was showcased at the eighth China Nanhe Pet Industry Expo, held on September 20, which attracted 302 enterprises alongside 187 international buyers and 45 overseas Chinese merchants.1
The thriving industry demonstrates the viability of the pet economy in rural development. Hebei Shengxi Pet Food Co., Ltd. exported 28.2 tons of pet food to Kyrgyzstan in August of this year,1 while Huaxing Pet Food Co., Ltd. operates a research facility where more than 1,300 dogs and cats serve as product taste-testers.1
