Two education consulting firms have been ordered to cease operations after being caught openly advertising fake medical licensing credentials on social media platforms.1 Shaanxi Zhangzhong Book Education Technology Co., Ltd. in Xi'an and Sichuan Medical Chengqi Education Consulting Co., Ltd. in Mianyang were exposed for offering services that included forging educational credentials and work experience records for medical licensing exams.1
The Xi'an company claimed to provide fabricated associate degree credentials and five years of assistant physician employment records in exchange for payment, while the Mianyang firm advertised services to supplement academic records for 20,000 yuan and guaranteed exam passage for 30,000 yuan.1 Despite being previously exposed by media in June of this year and subjected to joint inspections by multiple departments, both companies continued operating until recently.1
In response to the violations, Xi'an authorities have organized an investigation involving market regulation, health, and public security departments, while Mianyang established a joint task force comprising market regulation, health, public security agencies, and Fucheng District officials.1 Both cities have committed to thoroughly investigating all illegal and irregular conduct related to the fraudulent medical licensing scheme.1
