A company linked to Australia's One Nation party constructed a $56,000 shed on private property in central Queensland owned by James Ashby, the party's national director and Pauline Hanson's former chief of staff.1 Ashby has also received access to a new Ford Ranger utility vehicle donated to One Nation by Hancock Agriculture's chief executive Adam Giles in April, which Giles described as a personal gift to the party.1 Hanson stated the vehicle would support the party's campaign efforts, providing "the presence we need in front of the next federal election."1
In addition to the shed and vehicle, Ashby serves as the primary pilot for an aircraft donated by mining magnate Gina Rinehart to One Nation.1 Ashby has claimed that none of these benefits—the shed, the vehicle, or the aircraft—are used for his personal purposes.1
