The new hospital district is scheduled to commence operations by the end of 2026, with the overall facility accommodating 500 dental chairs and 150 beds.1 The Shenzhen Dental Hospital, officially designated as Guangdong Province's Shenzhen Dental Medical Center, represents Shenzhen's first public oral medical institution.1 Jin Zuolin serves as the general director of the Shenzhen Dental Hospital Group (in preparation).1
The International School of Dentistry focuses on three core areas: cultivating international students pursuing education in China, facilitating Chinese-foreign collaborative education programs, and implementing integrated undergraduate-to-postdoctoral training pathways.1 The first cohort of international dental students was already stationed at Shenghua Building in August.1 In technological advancement, an artificial intelligence system for detecting skeletal risk in invisible orthodontic correction is set for clinical deployment, while DentalGPT is scheduled for institutional implementation by the end of 2025.1
