The Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macau Innovation Base held its sixth anniversary celebration in Shenzhen's Guangming District, unveiling three new mechanisms designed to streamline the entire lifecycle of technology project development and talent integration across the three regions.1
The base has demonstrated substantial progress over its operational period, having received 145 project applications from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan entities by August 2026, approved 117 of them, and successfully deployed 88 projects on the ground.1 These efforts have resulted in the cultivation of 8 national high-tech enterprises and 18 technology-focused small and medium enterprises.1
The three newly introduced mechanisms address distinct gaps in regional collaboration.1 The INNO-X Youth Technology Talent Service Station provides dedicated support for talent development, while the INNO-HUB supply-demand platform has already compiled over 100 scenario-based needs and facilitated matches for 11 collaborative projects.1 The third mechanism, the technology executive officer initiative, formally launched in March and has completed three rounds of implementation iterations.1 These innovations create a comprehensive ecosystem connecting technology project incubation, achievement commercialization, and talent retention across the Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macau region.1 Recent signings include partnerships between Hengli Weiye, Sky Flying Car, and Aochuang Texin with Zhongshan University Shenzhen Campus, Civil Aviation University of China, and Shenzhen Institute of Technology respectively.1
