引文桂冠奖由科睿唯安科学信息研究所评选，用以表彰具有诺贝尔奖级别影响力的科研贡献 1。本届共有22位杰出科学家获奖，来自美国、加拿大、丹麦、以色列、日本、中国、瑞士等7个国家和地区，其中美国获奖者16人 1。该奖项评选基于Web of Science核心合集中被引频次逾2000次的文献，这类文献在全球科学出版物中的占比不足0.02% 1。迄今已有89位引文桂冠奖得主荣获诺贝尔奖 1。
On September 17, the list of 2026 Citation Laureates was announced, with Xue Qikun, president of Southern University of Science and Technology and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, recognized for his experimental observation of the quantum anomalous Hall effect.1 This honor makes him the second scientist from mainland China to receive the award, following last year's recipient Zhang Tao.1
The Citation Laureate Award is presented by Clarivate's Institute for Scientific Information to recognize research contributions of Nobel Prize-caliber impact.1 A total of 22 distinguished scientists received the award this year, representing seven countries and regions: 16 from the United States, with one each from Canada, Denmark, Israel, Japan, China, and Switzerland.1 The award is based on the proportion of highly-cited literature in the Web of Science Core Collection, with recipients representing researchers whose publications account for fewer than 0.02 percent of cited documents.1 To date, 89 Citation Laureate recipients have gone on to win the Nobel Prize.1
