深圳外国语学校在2024年推行"绿色教育"改革，率先喊出"不卷了"的口号。1学校取消了大规模月考和滚测，同时设立周三无作业日，以此减轻学生学习负担。1在高一、高二阶段，学校仅组织期中、期末两次考试。1

为在减负的同时保持教学质量，学校启动了AI种子教师培育工程，首批有108名教师参与其中。1

学校的课程改革同样体现了素质教育导向。学校推出了科创、人文等约60门拓展课程，并构建了创新、外语、国际、文理"四大书院"差异化课程体系。1学校取消了学科排名，不再张贴"清北"录取榜单，转而构建"体格健康、人格健全、品格高尚"的"三格"育人目标。1
