We are speeding up the processing of applications and, at the same time, we do not think that all of the burden of asylum accommodation, and many other forms of temporary accommodation, should fall on the poorest communities."1 The Home Office added that the government is closing asylum hotels and expects to save taxpayers over 1 billion pounds as a result.1
