The leaders adopted the New Delhi Declaration, which called for "maximum restraint" regarding Middle Eastern tensions without assigning responsibility, and notably omitted discussion of the Ukraine conflict—a departure from previous BRICS statements.2 Modi warned that geopolitical tensions and supply chain disruptions threaten global stability,3 while the joint statement also condemned unilateral sanctions.3 Iran and the UAE voiced support for the collective position.3
