深圳光明原创舞剧《敦煌归来》于9月12日在香港东九文化中心进行了首次演出1，标志着该剧境外演出的开启。舞剧由制作人兼总编导胡沈员创作，由中共深圳市光明区委宣传部、深圳市光明区文化广电旅游体育局、深圳华侨城文化发展有限公司等联合出品1。

Shenzhen's original dance drama "The Return from Dunhuang" premiered at Hong Kong's Jao Tsung-I Culinary Institute on September 12, marking the production's first international performance 1. The dance piece, created by producer and artistic director Hu Shenyuan, draws on a narrative from the late Tang Dynasty depicting an imperial messenger delegation escorting the Shazhou map back to the Tang court 1. The work blends traditional Dunhuang dance rhythms with contemporary movement vocabulary, offering a modern artistic interpretation of classical Chinese culture 1.
The production is presented by the Guangming District Committee Publicity Department, the Guangming District Culture, Radio, Television and Sports Bureau, and Shenzhen OCT Culture Development Co., Ltd., among other partners 1. Prior to the Hong Kong showing, the drama had completed 54 performances across 28 cities nationwide 1. The work has been selected for the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles' 2024 Key Creation Directory, designated as a specially commissioned project for the 23rd China Shanghai International Arts Festival, and selected as part of the 2025 Shenzhen "Belt and Road" International Music Season program 1. Yang Li, Party Committee member and head of the Publicity Department for Guangming District, characterized the production as bridging cultural narratives, stating "from a wisp of incense connecting mountains and seas to an elegant artistic legacy continuing cultural heritage" 1.
