Zitong County in Sichuan Province has leveraged its historical significance as a witness to China's "Two Bombs and One Satellite" development program to become a vital venue for promoting exchanges and integration among ethnic groups through red tourism and cultural education initiatives.1 The county has invested a cumulative total of 900 million yuan to protect and restore 167 historic buildings, including the office buildings of the research institute, the intelligence center, and the former residence of Deng Jiaxian.1
Since their opening in 2024, the "Two Bombs and One Satellite" Museum and the Aerospace Science and Technology Museum have welcomed more than 1.3 million visitors.1 The venues have collected and cataloged over 350 historical materials and artifacts related to ethnic unity, and introduced more than 20 new exhibition panels featuring the theme "Children of All Ethnicities Forging Nuclear Shield for the Nation."1 Through guided tours, theatrical performances, and immersive educational programs, these institutions have reached an audience exceeding 300,000 people with stories of ethnic solidarity.1 A red culture lecture studio has created over 10 scenario-based theatrical productions and delivered nearly 400 performances highlighting the "Two Bombs and One Satellite" heritage.1 During a summer camp for youth from various ethnic groups across the province, 128 students paid tribute at Deng Jiaxian's former residence to commemorate his contributions.1
