在论坛上，专家学者强调了人间佛教的重要地位。袁新表示，"人间佛教根植中华大地，是当代中国佛教的典型代表，也是新时代系统推进我国佛教中国化的关键载体"1。黄夏年认为，"我国佛教中国化与人间佛教可以是一体不二的"1。此次论坛还提出了规范治理、文化润教等推进佛教健康传承的举措1，并发布了新一辑《觉群佛学译丛》1。
Religious leaders and scholars convened at Shanghai's Jade Buddha Temple on September 12, 2026, to examine contemporary approaches to the Sinicization of Buddhism in China.1 The gathering, titled "Discourse on the Sea·Jue Qun Forum" and the Third "Theory and Practice of Humanistic Buddhism" Forum, brought together experts and monastic representatives to discuss how Buddhism can integrate with Chinese excellent traditional culture and adapt to socialist society.1
Participants emphasized the pivotal role of humanistic Buddhism as a defining expression of contemporary Chinese Buddhism. Yuan Xin stated that "humanistic Buddhism is rooted in Chinese soil and represents a typical model of contemporary Chinese Buddhism, serving as a key vehicle for systematically advancing the Sinicization of Buddhism in the new era."1 Huang Xianian further noted that "the Sinicization of Buddhism in China and humanistic Buddhism can be one and the same."1 The forum addressed theoretical foundations and practical pathways for Buddhist Sinicization while proposing measures including regulatory governance and cultural education to support healthy transmission of Buddhist traditions.1 The event also saw the release of a new collection of the "Jue Qun Buddhist Studies Translation Series."1
