Russia has systematically attacked Ukrainian energy infrastructure, including power transmission lines, fuel stations, and shopping centers.1 In recent days, drone strikes have escalated across multiple regions. A Russian drone attack on a shopping center in Pavlograd, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, on Thursday killed five people and wounded 67 others.1 Earlier in the week, Russian airstrikes on shopping centers in Zaporizhzhia and Sumy claimed two lives and injured 28 people.1 Ukraine has also conducted strikes of its own; Russia reported that a Ukrainian sea drone attack on the resort city of Sochi on Wednesday evening killed three people and wounded 28 others.1
The United Nations is working to assist in rebuilding Ukraine's energy system as the conflict continues.1 Meanwhile, U.S. President Trump's special envoy conducted negotiations in both Moscow and Kyiv over the weekend.1
