A Law Enforcement Conduct Commission report released in 2025 documented that officers conducted bail checks without proper court authorization, exceeding their lawful powers 1. Beyond the trespass settlement, the two mothers have also initiated a separate racial discrimination lawsuit against the police in federal court, which remains ongoing 1.
