The stolen artworks are valued at approximately nine million euros each.13 Security footage captured the thieves entering the museum and removing the paintings, with one work being dropped during their escape.2 The museum, which houses a total of twelve Renoir works, was the artist's final residence before his death in 1919 and opened to the public in 1960.3 The theft is part of a broader wave of art heists across Europe this year, including the recent theft of four Renaissance paintings from a museum in Sicily.3
